Upgrades - Protect Your Blog From Being Hacked

You may well have heard all the buzz online about the attacks on WordPress security. Unfortunately this is no joke, and it needs to be taken very seriously, or all you've built could be hijacked or worse, lost to you.

Cloning, as it applies to fix wordpress malware, is the act of making an exact replica of your WordPress install. What's good is that you can do it in only a few clicks. There are a number of reasons. Here are just a few.

Do not depend on your Web host - Many people rely on their web host to"do all that technical stuff for me", not realizing that sometimesthey do not! Far better to have the responsibility lie rather than out.

This is quite useful plugin, protecting you against brute-force password-crack strikes. It keeps track of the IP address of every failed login attempt. You can configure the plugin to disable login attempts for a range of IP addresses when a certain number of attempts is reached.

Note that you should only try this step for new installations. You will also have to change all of the table names inside the database, if you might like to get it done for existing installations.

Oh . And incidentally, I talked about plugins. When you get a plugin, make sure it's a secure one. Don't install any plugin because the owner is saying that plugin can allow you over at this website to do that or this. Use a test blog to look at the plugin, or perhaps get a software engineer to examine it. This way is not a threat hop over to here for you or your organization.
